February 1 is the deadline for this year’s. This three-day adventure will include visits to the Newberry Library, the MacArthur Foundation (to meet with Juan Salgado), Sourcebooks, the Poetry Foundation, the Field Museum, and the Goodman Theater. The trip will also include numerous interviews and panel discussions with IWU alumni as well. Please encourage your students to apply.

On Thursday, February 5 at 4 pm in Beckman Auditorium: AI Jeopardy: Myths and Reality. This event will allow faculty and staff to develop their knowledge of AI in the university environment. Co-sponsored by the Thorpe Center, CETAL and The Ames Library.

On Saturday, February 7, the Center for the Humanities will host the. On this day, Over fifty undergraduates from IWU and other universities from across the region will present their research, engage in a professional development workshop, hear a keynote address from, and attend a humanities banquet.

Tuesday, February 10, 3 pm, Ames School of Art and Design: glass artist Andrea Spencer will give an artist talk as part of the Visiting Artist Lecture Series.

Wednesday, February 11 at 12 pm in Hansen Student Center: Atelier du chocolat. Join our virtual chocolate tasting workshop led by chocolatier Elsa Cuny in Belgium. The event will highlight Elsa’s journey and her business model, which is committed to producing fine, specialty chocolate from carefully selected, high-quality cacao beans. This program will give you an opportunity to practice French and Spanish! This event is sponsored by the LRC, WLLC, and the Center for the Humanities.

On April 2, the English Department will host an event during which we will read poems by poet Aaron Coleman.

On April 9, at 4 pm, IWU will host a conversation with poet in Beckman Auditorium. Coleman will visit IWU on Thursday, April 9, as part of the ISU’s Lucia Getsi Reading Series.
