Students living with their parents/guardians within 30 miles of the IWU campus, who wish to commute to campus for classes, must complete the Commuter Approval Form.  It must be completed and returned to the Office of Residential Life (ORL).  Signatures must be written; digital signatures cannot be accepted.  (Please don't confuse this process with the Off-Campus process, which is for students who have completed six semesters living in on-campus housing).

Students will complete the Commuter Application for approval.  The form is found in the student's MyHousing portal.  Approval will be granted on an ongoing basis, beginning in December each year.  For students who choose to commute, financial aid is usually limited to tuition and fees.
