For students requesting to commute/live locally with parents, the Commuter Approval Form must be completed and returned to ORL.  Starting with the Fall 2025 academic term, students requesting to commute/live locally with parents will need to live within 30 miles of IWU's campus.

Students will complete the Commuter Application, which is available through the student's MyHousing portal.  Approval will be granted on an ongoing basis, beginning in December each year.  For students who choose to commute, financial aid is usually limited to tuition and fees.
